New developments coming soon in Holmes Chapel and Wistaston

Cerris Homes will soon have more than 50 brand new shared ownership properties up for grabs in Cheshire East, with homes available on two upcoming developments. 

The developments, situated at London Road in Holmes Chapel, and Church Lane in Wistaston, will see a total of 515 new properties being built – 51 of these will join Cerris Homes’ catalogue of exciting shared ownership homes available to buy. 

The Cerris Homes properties will include two-bedroom apartments, and?two- and three-bedroom houses, so whether you’re first time buyers, downsizers, or just looking for a new start, there is an opportunity for everyone.

Rising property prices in the area have forced many buyers out of the market, with the average age of a first-time buyer now being 37. There is an acute need for intermediate tenure in Cheshire East, which is why we are excited to be able to offer that helping step onto the housing ladder. 

Shared ownership is an increasingly popular option for those looking to get on the housing ladder. It allows individuals to buy a share of the property, rather than the entirety of it – this usually equates to somewhere between 25 and 75 percent – with the buyer making mortgage payments on what they own, and rent used to cover the remainder. This means that buyers would not need a huge deposit or hefty income to be able to afford their ideal home. 

The first properties are expected to be completed by March 2019, with developer Bloor Homes aiming to finish building all units by 2022.
